Homemade Ginger Ale

Makes about 1/2 cup
Drinks

I created this recipe so that my son could enjoy the occasional soda, without all the corn syrup and white sugar! This is sweet, spicy and tastes much better than any store bought ginger ale!

  • 1/2 tsp whole Black peppercorns
  • Sparkling water
  • 1-1/2 Tbsp grated fresh Ginger
  • Zest of 1 Lemon
  • 1/2 cup Agave
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • In a small saucepan, bring all the ingredients to a boil over high heat. Boil for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat and let cool completely in the pan. Once cool, strain through a fine mesh strainer and keep the syrup in the fridge until ready to use.
  • Use 2 Tbsp of soda syrup for every 8 oz of cold sparkling water, stir well and enjoy!
