Avocado Jalapeño Hummus

Dips, Sauces and Spreads

Oh my, this stuff is seriously addicting. I could barely stop myself from eating it all straight out of the food processor! Creamy and rich with just a hint of spice, this is perfect with pita, crackers or as I ate it, with a spoon! This doesn't make a whole lot, so if serving to more than one person, I would definitely double it!

  • Juice of 1/2 Lemon
  • 2 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • Half an Avocado
  • 2 tbsp Tahini
  • 1/4 tsp + 1/8 tsp Sea salt, plus more to taste, if desired
  • 2 tbsp Water
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped Jalapeño pepper
  • 1 cup cooked Chickpeas
  • Place everything in a 4 cup food processor and blend until completely smooth. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
